One of my favourite things in Qlik Sense is the new calendar function, however talking with other developers I've found that some people don't know about them yet.

How to write SQL stored procedures for Qlik

Recently I wanted to add one of my stored procedures for a different report into a dashboard to show the power of Sense (integrating pre system data with the new ERP system, Awesome!)

However, whatever I did, my stored procedure wouldn't run in Qlik Sense... so I did what I usually do in this situation and ran back to Qlikview to see if I could identify the problem and I couldn't! I should point out that this code was live and running fine in both SQL and crystal reports (a necessary evil for other projects!)

In Statements in Qlikview - Match()

I don't know about everyone else but I have often googled for how to do an in statement in Qlikview.


#Note by an In statement I am referring to how to test one value against multiple values or a range of values

How to connect to an SQL Server

So my first post on the all new blog, I'm by no means a Qlikview expert but I have been using it for two years now and can find my way around.

What I'm hoping to do with this blog is compile a list of how to do everything in Qlikview, starting right at the beginning.

The qlikview training is great, however Qliktech seems very focussed on using files as a datasource.  I know the first question I asked after completing the tutorial was, how do I connect to a database?
